Here we go again, Sarnie Army! It’s Game 2 of the Challenge Cup group stage, and the lads are ready for another big one as Betteshanger Welfare Reserves roll into town.
We’ve already faced them in the league last weekend and came out smiling — but the gaffer’s made it very clear: no complacency, no showboating, and absolutely no thinking about what’s for tea after the match. Betteshanger will be looking for payback, and this time, we need to be sharper, calmer, and more clinical.
After a tough start in the Cup against Woodnesborough Reserves, this fixture’s another test of nerve, skill, and how well we can keep the ball without giving the manager a heart attack! He’s calling for better ball control, smarter timing, and 100% focus.
The unbeaten run is still alive (and the manager would really like to keep it that way, mostly for the sake of his blood pressure). The goal is simple: three points, a solid performance, and maybe a few goals to make the highlights reel.
So grab your scarves, grab a cuppa (or something stronger), and get down to The Butts to cheer the lads on. Your noise makes all the difference!
