Question: Marc, another big game coming up this week, how are the lads feeling ahead of it?
Marc Taylor: The lads are looking forward to another tough encounter, no doubt about it. We know every game at this level presents its own challenges, but there’s a real belief in the squad, especially after how well we applied ourselves in the previous fixture against Woodnesborough. The way the lads performed in that game showed what we’re capable of, and we’ll be carrying that belief into this week’s match.
Question: You’ve mentioned before about the team’s progress in training, are you starting to see that translate into match performances?
Marc Taylor: Absolutely. Over the last few weeks, the effort in training has been outstanding, and we’re now seeing that work reflected in our performances on match day. Of course, results are what matter, but the way the lads are playing, the commitment they’re showing, it’s all pointing in the right direction.
Question: Last week’s game was a tough one, conceding a last-minute goal. How did the team react to that?
Marc Taylor: Losing in the final moments is always frustrating, but there were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The work rate, the attitude, it was first-class from everyone. As a coaching staff, we were incredibly proud of how the lads conducted themselves. The challenge now is turning these solid performances into positive results.
Question: It sounds like the squad morale is still high despite the results. How important is that heading into this next fixture?
Marc Taylor: The group is in a really good place. The lads are sticking together, working hard, and pushing for that victory. A win would be a massive boost, not just in terms of points but also in giving the squad that extra bit of confidence to push forward. Our goal remains the same, to be competitive in every game and win as many as we can. We’re getting closer, and when that first win comes, I believe it will really set us on our way.
Question: Best of luck for the match, Mark.
Marc Taylor: Thanks, appreciate it.
