The lads started brightly, moving the ball well and looking confident in possession. But against the run of play, our keeper took a knock and we were caught with a ball over the top. Kent took their chance well and went ahead with a tidy finish.
The response was exactly what I wanted to see. We pressed high, forced their keeper under pressure, and Lucas calmly slotted into the bottom corner to level it up before half-time.
With the score 1–1 at the break, we made a few changes and came out firing in the second half. For the first 20 minutes we dominated, and our play was rewarded with two well-worked goals. Morgan finished off a sharp move with a tap-in at the back post, before Regan sealed the game in style, picking the ball up 25 yards out and unleashing a thunderbolt into the top corner.
We created more chances and could have extended the scoreline, but the game ended 3–1, a strong win against tough opposition and a performance to build on.
Scorers: Lucas Faraone-Horton, Morgan Crocker, Regan Wicks
